To consider whether a use would weigh in favor of being a "fair use,"
- complete a fair use analysis, using a document such as the Fair Use Checklist linked below from Columbia University Libraries
- retain a copy of your analysis
- re-evaluate your analysis if you need to re-use the material in future terms
