Some Journal Titles to Watch For

As you search the Atla Religion Database (in addition to Harvard's HOLLIS and the SPU Library + Summit catalog) for scholarship on your passage and topic (Reference Worksheet, above), you will encounter many scholarly Essays or Chapters in Books.  But you will encounter many more Articles in Journals.  Some of the latter will occur in important journals not wholly dedicated to biblical studies, but to (for example) theology more generally or some other aspect thereof (Early Christianity, Harvard Theological Review, Journal of Early Christian Studies, Journal of Religion, Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, Journal of Theological Studies, Pro Ecclesia, Scottish Journal of Theology, Theology Today, Trinity Journal, Vigiliae Christianae, and the like).  And some of those, too, will be perfect for your purposes.  In the end the only thing that really matters for the purposes of this course is not the book or journal, but whether the essay or article in question is properly (for example) exegetical in nature.
