Acclaimed Directors! Choose one director to study, from the following list: May Adrales, Quincy Armourer, José Ferrer, Elia Kazan, Peter J. Kuo, Kenny Leon, Mbongeni Ngema, José Quintero, Julie Taymor, Liesl Tommy, Mary Zimmerman. If there is another professional director you feel compelled to study, please feel free to request permission from the professor. Please use the Course Study Guide created by Reference Librarian, Liz Gruchala-Gilbert, to aid you in your study.
Create a five minute (maximum), rehearsed presentation about the director you have chosen to study, that you will share with the class via Zoom. Please include pertinent dates, biographical information, and what you glean to be their contribution to the art of Directing. Please provide one video sample and/or photos of their work in the Theatre. Please practice your technology ahead of time, in order to achieve a polished presentation.
Submit a Bibliography citing no less than five sources, one of which must be a primary source.
