Asking for Help

There will be many times during your research project that you will have questions! Never hesitate to reach out for help, no matter how small the problem might seem.

question mark For questions about graduation requirements and your course sequence, contact your faculty advisor and/or academic counselor.

question mark For questions about the requirements of the project and whether you are on the right track, contact the faculty member(s) in charge of your project.

question mark For questions about the library research process, finding full text, citations, and copyright contact a librarian. You can use the Ask A Librarian service or reach out to the librarian in your discipline.

question mark For questions about writing, contact the Research, Reading, & Writing Studio.

 Exclamation point If you are feeling overwhelmed, reach out to your faculty, mentors, peers, family, and other members of your support system. Consider contacting the Student Counseling Center or Center for Learning.

  • When the Reference Librarian is logged in, the blue box will say "Chat with a Librarian," otherwise you will be prompted to leave us a message.
