Purpose of this Guide

By the end of using this subject guide, students should be able to:

  • locate a scholarly article on their topic
  • use the SPU Primo catalog to locate books on their topic
  • create a properly formatted APA paper citing books, articles, and web articles

Session 2 Agenda

  • Ethics in Academic Writing
    • Information Ethics: Copyright basics and Avoiding Plagiarism (20 minutes)
    • In-text citation activity (10 minutes)
    • Tips and tools for citing (10 minutes)
    • Questions -- from previous or current session (15 minutes)

- these are articles, books, CDs, or DVDs that your professor wants you to use, but you don't have to buy; get them at the SPU Library
