Autumn 2024 UW Public LecturesThis quarter's line-up will feature speakers who can help us navigate the Presidential election.
It includes author Mónica Guzmán and former KUOW host, Steve Scher for a discussion about bridging the political divide, the ACLU of Washington panel moderated by ACLU's Executive Director Michele Storms, discussing elections and public safety, and Dr. Jake Grumbach examining the real threats to US democracy.
Professor Priya Donti will also join us for a talk about how AI can be used to effect climate change, and film maker, Boots Riley joins us too with UW's Dr. Golden Owens for a talk spanning the topics of film making to rap, to activism.
