  • use the catalog to locate books on their topic
  • create a properly formatted APA paper citing books, articles, and web articles

Assignments (from the syllabus)

Description: You are to draw upon the talks by guests, information from class, your readings and research. Also draw upon sources you have used for other assignments as well as sources possibly from other classes or outside readings you find applicable for this assignment ensuring they are of scholarly work. Speak to how this impacts your understanding of Special Education and Autism. Before submitting the final drafts, you will turn in a detailed outline and reference list, with an initial draft of the paper. The final paper should be 5-6 pages long.

Instructions: First develop a comprehensive outline, thesis statement, and reference list for the paper. In your outline include citations for the sources you will use. Second, write a rough draft of the paper. Third, revise the ideas in the paper so that it works well for the reader. Fourth, edit the paper for mechanical errors. Fifth, prepare the final draft of the paper.
